COST OF LIVING.
j A ONE PER CENT. REDUCTION. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 18. The Labour Ministry's statistics for May show that the cost of living is 80 per cent above July, 1914, compared with 81 in April. In this connection it is noted that the French Government i Commission reports the cost of living is f 217 per cent higher than before the war. (A. and N.Z. Cable.).
