MARCONI'S LONG VIGIL. (Received 11.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, June 18. At the period when the planet Mars was approaching nearest to the earth Marconi, aboard a yacht in the Hudson River, listening with radio instruments steadily for nearly a fortnight, failed to hear anything which would lead to the belief that Martians are endeavouring to '. communicate with the earth.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
