GLENFIELD. 'Nu committee was elected at GlenfieljJ, only lour householders attending. Mr. Chas. Pußh was elected to the ehalr. After expressing their disappointment" at the apathy displayed, the retiring copamittcemen decided not to seek re-election, and to acquaint the Education Board of the position. The annual report showed that the year opened with a credit balance of £12, and closed with £13 in band. VADXHALt. The following were elected unopposed :— Mrs. B. Hay. Meesrs. W. Bailey. W. .T. Buckley, K. H. Dellow. V. Fieldsend A. A. Hough, s. B. Kennlngs, S. Walker, H. H. Watkins (chairman). NEWTON. A fair meeting of Newton householders was held in St. Peters' Church, and presided over hy Mr. J. Jenkin. The following were elected:—Messrs. F. W. Brinsden, 74; H. ,T. Donald (chairman), 70; C. MorrU, 70: J. M. Malcolm, 04; W. Mills, 68: B. Collett. 61; ,T. Baird, 60; G. Eerr (treasurer), 58: p. Bradley. 54. Mrs. A. Carter, who received 40 votes, was als.o a candidate. Mr. A. Jenkin was elected secretary. The meeting decided to obtain instruments to enable the boys of both schools to have a flfe «ao drum band, and a collection made In the hall resulted Tn £1» 10/6 toeing rnised in cash and promises.
