SALES AT WESTFIELD. Meesre. Alfred Buckland and Sons report:— To-day at our weekly Westfield fat stock market we penned beef to the number of 447 head, comprising 343 steers, 100 cows and heifers, and four bulls. Tliere wae a steady demand, but all classes suffered a decline in value*. Extra choice ox sold to £1 3/6; choice and prime, 19/ to £1 3/; ordinary and plain 16/ to 18/: prime youn e cow and heifer beef, 18/ to 19/6; ordinary cow, 12/ to 16/: rough beef, 5/ to 10/6. Ertm heavy prime steers ranged in price from £9 to £9 17/6; heavy prime, £8 5/ to £8 17/6; lighter prime, £7 to £8: light prime, £6 to £6 15/; email and unfinished, £4 15/ to £5 10/; heavy prime young cows and heifers, £6 to £6 15/; heavy cows and lighter heifers, £3 10/; to £5 2/6: lighter. £2 10/ to £3 2/6; other, £1 7/6 to £2 hi.
