NEW ZEALAND'S LOAN.
THE INTEREST RATE. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, April 20. Over were subscribed to tho New Zealand £5,000,000 loan. The Australian Press Association understands that the High Commissioner discussed the advieableness of adopting 4i per cent, because trustees are prohibited from investing in stocks above par, but decided in favour of 5 per cent, financiers having advised that it was probable that the net result would be better. — (A. and N.Z.)
