To Toa went to the front as they went along the back, while Silver Pine moved up, and as they passed the stand for tbe second lime there was little between the pair, with Oakleigh. I'orogleu. Te Toa came to grief ut the fence by the number board, leaving Silver Pine in the lead, but Coroglen headed him going along The back, only to fall at the fence hy the five-furlong post, at which obstacle Grand Canyon also came down. Silver Pine was again left in charge, with Oakleigh as bis nearest attendant, while Sea De'il ran up third, and there was not much between tbe trio as they came into the straight and raced at tbe last fence. Once over a great finish was witnessed, Sea De'il winning an exciting race by a head from Oakleigh. with Silver Pine half a length further back, third. Xo (Surrender was fourth. It was decided to hold a race meeting, the proceeds to be devoted to some charitable purpose, the meeting to be held early in the spring, subject to being able to get ihe use of the Epsom course. A lot of useful business was gone through, and appreciation of the association's work was expressed.
