N.S.W. COALITION.
A SPLIT THREATENED. OVER DEPUTY LEADERSHIP. (Received 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. A split, is threaetned in the coalition ranks owing to the appointment of a deputy-leader. According to the Coalition compact this poet was promised to a Progressive, but as the latter party divided on coalition being effected, a- number of Nationalists contend that the compact does not apply. The Nationalists contend that Mr. Oakes should be deputy-leader. A meeting will be held on Monday to endeavour to arrive at a decision. . Mr Catts has announced that the personnel of the Majority Labour party executive includes Mr. Skelton, the Independent Protestant Labour candidate, (A. and N.Z, Cable.)
