THE PRICE OF SUGAR.

CHRISTCHTJRCH, Friday.
Mr. W. G. McDonald, Chairman of the Board of Trade, says there Is no likelihood of *iie price of sugar being altered in any way until the expiration of the Government's contract with the Coleni-1 Sugar Company at the end of ■est August. The Government is not in a position to vary the terms of this 'ontract.
