Griffiths, Geo. Fitzgerald (Dunedin) and W. D. Mote (Auckland). The conference sermon, preached by Mr. Fitzgerald, was a challenge to the church to put its trust in a loving God to hear the cries of those oppressed and dietressed by social evils, to live the life Chriet demanded, and to be. above all, loyal to the Word of God in all matters of faith.
