Mattel's relating to the proposed tour of j the Colonies by an English Association Football team were discussed at to-night's meeting irf the Football Association. The estimated cost of the tour is C 11.000. and it has been allocated as follows:-New South Wales and New Zealand, £3000 each; yueeusland, £2000: other States. £750 each. Ball, Guest' and Wright were made a sub-committee to appoint referees for the flrst mouth of the season until the capabilities of the available referees became known, when tbe position will be ■ reconsidered. Amongst referees of the past available are: Messrs. Ouest. Rail. Ritchie. Wright. Campbell. Robinson, p. <). Maboney and Parker, while Messrs. Bowen, Macfnrlane. Savage, Wlnslow, Andrews. Salmon iml P.O. Braninell have signified their intention of joinlnir tip. Mr. Dawson, who holds the N.Z. referees' badge, was present. Mr. Dawson was I for many years a referee in Auckland, but Is now resident In Taranaki. Mr. Savage was appointed to referee in , the match Corinthian v. North Shore, at ! North Shore on Saturday at 3 p.m., and Mr. llubtnson will take control or ihe fourth • division game for tbe same clubs at 2 p.m. I Referees are reminded that the season i opens on Saturday.
