NATIONALIST OPPORTVNJTY. FEDERAL ELECTION PROSPECTS (Received 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The nevv Labour party has lost no time providing the necessary julminietrativc machinery. A new central executive has been appointed, and branches have already been formed in many country centre**. A report from Melbourne states that since the split caused by the expulsion of Mr. T. IT. Catts, many trade unioniets are seceding from the movement, and applying for membership of the Nationalist Federation. In view of the result of t|ie New .South Wales elections, a movement is afoot to hold Federal elections at an early date. Nationalist members arc urging Mr. Hughes to make an appeal to the country, believing that this is a;i opportune tinie. (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
