BEEF FREIGHTS TO U.K.
REDUCTION ANNOUNCED. (Received 1 p.m.) BRISBANE, this day. The Premier has received a cablegram from the Acting Agent-General in London announcing that the shipowners have agreed to a reduction of a farthing a pound in the freight on frozen beef, contingent of the reduction of the wages costs. — (A. and N.Z.
