FRENCH SOLDIERS TRAPPED
WHILE SEARCHING FOR ARMS.; 23 KILLED IN SILESIA. i PARIS. April 10. Twenty-three French soldiers were killed and 10 wounded by a violent explosion near Gleiwitz, in Upper Silesia, during a search for concealed arms. A large quantity of rifles, quick-firers, and munitions was found. The explosion was caused by a mechanical device previously placed in position.— (A. and "ST.Z.)
