INCREASE IN 1921. ("Received 10 a.m.l SYDNEY, this day. The population of Xew South Wales at the end of 1921 was. 2J25.756, of which 34,G00 was due to excess of births over deaths, and 1.541 due to excess ot arrivals over departures. The marriages during the year totalled 18,515, which was 94 per cent above the average for the previous five years. The total number of births was 54,634, a drop of 1 2-5 per cent below the average for the past five years. The deaths during 1921 were'2o.3o4, which is 10 3-10 per cent •below the average for the past five years. (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
