A.R.C. EASTER MEETING. Mr. J. Lowe arrived from the Sooth on Saturday with Insurrection, Kick Off being brought north by the same train. Yesterday afternoon Mr. s. Waddeii reached Auckland by steamer with Anomaly. Mr. W. Duncan has decided not to send Tamatete to Ellerslie to fnlfii his eugagenieuts. but to race him nearer home at "Feilding. Killashandra's running at the Manawatu meeting was not sufficiently encouraging to his trainer to continue his Ellerslie engagements, and he will not be brought north. Mr. F. The weather was fine for the concluding day of the Manawatu Racing Club's Autumn Meeting, and there was a large attendance. The totalisator receipts for the day amounted to £31,120, against £46,542 on the corresponding day last year. The total for the meeting was £56,210. compared with £88.542 last year. The Southland Racing Club's Autumn Meeting was concluded to-day in dull weather. The attendance was larger than on tbe onening day. Although tbe fields were small ln some races, interesting sport was provided. Zarkoma. with Palladio. were the only horses to complete tbe steeplechase coarse without accident.
