At the Bay of Plenty Rugby 'Union meeting at Whakatane, Whakatane was made the executive ■ centre for the 1923 season. The rules of the Kusab Cup matches are to he amended. Mr.' W. T. Parata was elected pres'dent and oreisented with-, ai gold pendant to-mark the occasion of being made the first life member of the union. He was also appointed delegate to. the Wellington Confe- : rence of the New Zealand Rugby Union. ' Return matches will be played this season I with Wanganui. Auckland and Poverty Bay Complaints were made that the New Zealand Union'had not yet made the-promised allowance for the Springboks' match expenses'at | Rotorua.
