NO FOREST RANGERS' SCHOOL.

In connection with the attempt by the Canterbury College authorities to arrange lor a special school for the Government forest rangers, it is nonstated that the Government cannot sec its way clear to support the proposed school at the present lime, entailin** as it does the absence uf rangers from their work in the middle of winter, and payment by the Government of travelling and other expenses.
