ORAXTTNS. >A well-known contractor. Mr. G. V. Tbr-.nvnwn, who has been foreman of the construction work of the Mansateitei bridge, died at his residence after a very short illness. I>preased was well known and generally respected, and leaves a widow and one son. The Kanßataua Football 'Club, at their annual re-union, were presented with the two junior enps won la Ft season. The president of the union. Mr. J. A. Blj-tbe. in making the presentation, referred to the very creditable record of the club. CHTitnin 'Harrison -was awarded the medal presented for the best p!ayer of the seaMr. C. "Williams, a -well-known bnshman. of Perhaui and .faropQt> tnill, had his two hands very hadly mutilated. Dr. Griffen attended ro the injured man, who was | taken to the Taihape Hospital.
