THE OFFER TO ARBITRATION.
DAIRY EMPLOYEES' ATTITUDE. The resignation of Mr. J. A. McCullough as the workers' representative on the Arbitration Court has opened up several matters for the consideration of Labour. This morning the Dairy Employees' Union met and passed a resolution requesting Mr. M. J. Reardon, oi ellington, the deputy nominated member of the court, who has been summoned by the president to take Mr. MeCullough'a place in the meantime, not to accept the position until all the unions have expressed their opinions on the proposal. The meeting also protested against the subsidy of £500, paid annually to Mr. Scott (the employers' representative on the Arbitration Court), by the employers on the ground that it is not in the best interests of arbitration.
