Clynes, leader of the Labour party, moved a resolution demanding reorganisation of the League of Nations to provide adequate representation of the democracy of all nations. Permanent peace, he said, could only be secured by the erection and creation of an interrational body possessing the confidence of the people of each country, and this could only be obtained by adequate direct representation of Labour on the Council of the League.— (A. and N.Z.)
