GERMAN REACTIONARIES.
WARNING BY CHANCELLOR. WILL DEFEND REVOLUTION. BERLIN, September 6. The Chancellor (Dr. Wirth), addressing a meeting of the Centre parly, stressed the urgency of defending the Republic agajnst reactionary attacks. Ho denounced the great capitalists, whom ho accused of greed and lack of patriotism in delaying delivery of foreign hills in the hope of the dollar risim,', thus making payment in gold to the Allies most diflieult. Ho was resolved to pursue his policy unflinchingly, and to use every means against reaction. The ex-King of Bavaria attended a monarchist festival on the occasion of his name day at the village of Wildeuwarth, in Bavaria. The burgomaster, in a speech of fervent loyalty to the dynasty, said happy would l>e the day tvhen the old blue and white colours were again flying from every house. The exking r.-'plied that though the times were hard, they roust keep up their tourage, hoping for better things.— (Reuter.)
