OBITUARY.
MR. J. F. BUDDLE. The death occurred last night at his residence, Devonport, of Mr. Joseph Foster Buddie, in his 69th year. Deceased ivas the fourth son of the late Rev. Thomas Buddie, who arrived at Hokianga as far back as 1840. Mr. J. ! T. Buddie was born in Auckland, and was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends. For the Inst five months he has not teen in sufficiently pood health to attend at the oflice of J. F. Buttle and Sons, auditors and accountants, Victoria Arcade. Deceased took a deep interest in the Devonport public school, and has been chairman of the committee for very many years. He also was chairman ! of directors of the Auckland Termi- j natins Building Society for a lonff '' period, .being member of the board at : the time of his death. Deceased is sur- I vived Iby his widow, and the following children:—Messrs. J. H.. F. C, and D. B . Buddie, of Auckland: Henry Buddie, of Wellington: and Leonard "Buddie, 'of I Wliakatane.
