DUNEDIN WAR MEMORIAL.
AUCKLAND FIRM'S DESIGN.

DUNEDIN, Monday.
The Dunedin City Council recently invited designs for a war memorial, and 63 were received from New Zealand, Australia and Tasmania. The assessor was Mr. Edmund R. Wilson, architect of Invercargill. He has awarded the first prize of £-00 to Messrs. Prouse and Glimmer, architects, of Auckland, and the second prize of £50 to Reginald Oliphant, of Hastings. The assessor also mentions designs sent in by G. F. Munnings (Wellington), W. Gray Young (Wellington), W. M. Page, (Wellington), and H. A. Westenholm (Napier).
