OBITUARY.
• MR. W. H. C. GLASSON. The death is reported oi Mr. W. H. C. Glasson, a highly respected citizen of iDrury for the past twelve years. A few days prior to hi. death the deceased gentleman was apparently in the best of health and spirits. Through his quiet I and unassuming manner Mr. Glasson had won the esteem of all with whom he came in contact. For a number of years he was chairman of various local bodies, and the loss of his services will | be keenly felt. The deceased was a son of the late Mr. C. B. Glasson, of Runciman, and son-in-law of the Hon. Major Harris. He leaves a widow and grown-up son and. daughter. The funeral service, which was impressively conducted by Key. O. R. Hewlett, was attended by a very large circle of friends. MRS. S. M_H__EJOH_\. One of the early settlers of Big Omaha died at Lake Road, Devonport, namely, Mrs. Meiklejohn. at the age of 70 years. Deceased was the wife of the late Septimus Meiklejohn, whoso death occurred aboe-t ten years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Meiklejohn were amongst the first settlers at Big Omaha. For the last 16' years. Mrs. Meiklejohn resided at Lake Road. Deceased is survived by three i sons and two daughters, also 15 grand! children. .
