WAR PENSIONS BOARD.
' . The members of the War Pensions' Board, Mr. D. Cooper (chairmani. Dr. A. W. Izard, and Mr. G. C. Fache, Commissioner of Pensions, with Mr. ,1. D. Harper, representing the Returned ; Soldiers' Association, sat in the Mast— trate's Court building this morning. <"r.e reason for sitting during the Faster vacation is that large numbers of men 'come to town for the holiday sca«m. The board will sit continuously here for the fortnight, and will then go to | Hamilton, Te Aroha, Morrinsvil'.e, Te AwamutU. Te Kuiti, Taumarunui. Ohakune, Taihape, and Marton, and should ! reach Wellington about the end of April. jSo far the board has dealt with fourteen j cases in Auckland. Six were renewed, of I which two were final grants. Four | other pensions were made permanent, : three will be reconsidered, on continued j for the present, and one was discotti tinued.
