WAZIRIS STILL RECALCITRANT I
(Received 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 6. The Wana Waziri situation on the north-west frontier is unchanged. The c; tines inflicted on the rebels, and the 3 1 rifles demanded under the terms of peace 3 are being slowly surrendered, but dis- | tant sections are not making concerted " efforts to return rifles. The recalcitrant ' village of Kustan has been destroyed. The Mahsud situation has not improved, and numerous cases of sniping and attacks on pickets and convoys are reported. On February 28 a repairing c pary/ of 230 Punjabs was ambushed, ' eight being killed and three wounded.— (Reuter.)
