RETURNED SOLDIER KILLED.
| (By Telegraph.—Own r»rrespoiKioirt.) OHAKUNE, this day. A distressing fatality occurred at Tepou, near Kario : , on Saturday. A 6ingle man named Fred Negers, employed by the Wangairni Sash and Door Company, was carting logs, when a log roßed off the dTay, pinning the unfortunate man to the ground. He died some twenty minutes afterwards. Deceased was a returned soldier with a good record.
