GOVERNMENT SAFEGUARDS. (By Telegraph.—Trees Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. The Prime Minister asked to-day what the present position in respect to tho wool realisation scheme was, eaid that communications were still passing between the New Zealand Government, the High Commissioner and the Imperial authorities. An earl} - conclusion to these was anticipated. The matter could quite well have been fixed by now, but for the fact thai the Govenment was particularly desirous of safeguarding the interests of New Zealand in ever* direction. It was largely in connection with the provision of safeguards that the present negotiations were taking place. Having a full realisation of the Imperial Government's ffood feeling towards the Dominion he had ever}- hope, that the safeguards considered necessary would be provided.
