BRUNNER MINE CLOSURE.
AN UNSAFE BRIDGK. (By Telegraph.—Prows Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. With reference to the telegram relating to the position at the Brunner mine, because the Government had closed a railway bridge, the Prime Minister stated to-day that the 'bridge, a suspension one, had been closed because its anchorage had been found to be unsafe. Instructions had been given that temporary repairs should be effected if itwas at all possible to do so.
