AN OVERCROWDED SCHOOL.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WHAKATANE, this day. A meeting of Taneatua residents protested against the overcrowding of the school which was built for eighty, but had 120 pupils on the roll last year. A large number of new children is expected this year. It is contended that the school will be totally inadequate for requirements. A deputation has been formed to wait on the authorities with a view to speeding up the construction of a new school.
