SEKXES OF ALL-DAY MATCHES. AT EDEN AND REMUERA. In showery weather a series of all- ; day matches was played to-day on the Eden Park and Eemuera Cricket ground, i At Eden Park, Ponsonby played Grafton on No. 1 ground, and North Shore met the University eleven on .No. U. Tn warm and cloudy weather Eden and Parnell played an all-day match on the Remuera ground. Parnell won the toss, and went "in at 10 a.m., C. Badeley and Sornervell opening the batting against the bowling of R. Taylor and Woodroffe. Badeley in the first hour of play scored well, but his partner made only a brace and a four when he was bowled by Woodroffe. Mann succeeded, but had no better luck. He hit two fours and a brace, when he was dismissed by Taylor. Then Anthony and Badeley kept up a steady partnership, scoring slowly off Gillespie"s and R. Taylor's bowling. After he had made 23 ('. Badeley was dismissed by Taylor with the score at 77. Moore succeeded, and opened with a hit for three. Anthony continued to add runs until the century was passed at the end of an hour and a-half of play. Twenty extras were made up to this juncture in the game. Anthony kept up his end for a further period of "play, and L. G. Taylor then replaced his namesake at the bowling end. The change of howling, however, was not very productive.
