The practical state of warfare that exist* over considerable areas of Southern Ireland between the forces of the Crown and the adherents of the to-called Republic gives rise to many drametio and distressing scenes. Our Illustrations to-day depict a variety of episodes arising out of the conflict In Dublin, where the forces of law and order dally confront active anarchy. (1) Two arrested men marched away at trie point of the revolver after a raid on tho offices of the Ministry of Labour at the Rotunda, Dublin. It will be noted that they are required to keep thslr hands up. (2) Nine of the eleven officers murdered in Dublin on "Red Sunday." were buried In London. The photograph shows the oofflna esoorted from Euston to Westminster Abbey by the R.I.C. (3) The scene at the graveside In Qlasnevin Cemetery, Dublin, during the funeral of two of the three prominent members of Sinn Fein who were shot dead In an attempt to escape from the guardroom at Dublin Castle. (4) Following the shooting of several British oflloem In Dublin the authorities have been keenly looking for euspeoted persons and document*. The picture shows a searoh party examining documents during a raid on Liberty Hall, Dublin, famous as the headquarter* of Jim Lsrkln. (B) Searching a postman on leaving the post office during a raid on the Rotunda, Dublin.
