JAPAN'S SIBERIAN FOOTING. PROTEST FROM CHINA. (Received 11..10 a.m.i TOKYO, January 27. 'f_e Ciiinese Foreign Minister telej/raphed to Viscount L'chida (Japanese Foreign Minister) demanding the withdrawal of Japanese troops from Siberia, declaring that their presence in Yladivostock is highly improper. He charges the Japanese forces with opposing the establishment of administrative organisation, and consequently the citizens suffer from bandit*. He also declares that the Japanese are protecting General .SeminoiTs troops, preventing the working of the new Rus.-ian railways and interfering with the movements of the Russian officials.
Replying to questions in the Diet regarding the withdrawal of Japanese troops the Japanese Government's spokesman declared that they were unable to withdraw until political conditions were settled and the danger of the Bolshevikation of Korea and Manchuria was dissipated.— (A. and N.Z. I
