TINNED BUTTER.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.l WELLINGTON, this day. To-day's "Gazette," contains notification that the Minister of Customs has authorised the Collectors of Customs to grant permits of exportation through the post office to any destination of butter in tins not exceeding two pounds weight. Application must be made to the Collector of Customs at the nearest port stating the name and address of the consignee* and the quantity of butter proposed to be exported. The applicant must forward to the Collector the amount of subsidy paid thereon at the rate of sixpence per pound.
