THE SPLIT IN THE RANKS. CLASS WARFARE. (Received 11 a.m.i PARIS December 31. %. Moderate French Socialist manifesto to the workers says:—"We made every effort to avoid a split, but the majority yielded to the occult influence of Moscow. We true Socialists will continue organising the workers, who constitute a powerful party."' M. Cacliin, the extremist leader, writing in the "Humanite," says that the Tours decision indicates the workers' determination to prepare for conditions more favourable to class warfare, which is daily becoming more bitter.— (A. and N.Z.
