OVERSEAS TRAFFIC.
ABBIVALS AT AUCKLAND FOU TEAR, 21,037. DEPARTURES TOTAL 12,973. During the past year the total arrivals at the port of Auckland from overseas was 21,037. This is a decrease of 4332 from the arrivals of 1919, which reacned a sum total of 25,369. The difference, however, may be largely due to the fact that during 1919 the remainder of the Expeditionary Forces returned to the Dominion. During 1920 the departures nearly doubled those of 1919, the total for the latter year being 6690, and for the former 12-973, an increase of 6283.
The arrivals last month were 1965, as compared with 1954 of December, 1919 an increase of 11. The departures totalled 901 during December, 1920, an increase of 214 on the departures of December, 1919, which totalled GB7.
Tha arrivals of Chinese during the past month was to the number of 14, as against 39 in the corresponding month of the previous year. In December, 1919, 31 Hindus arrived in Auckland, but last month none arrived. Twenty-he Chinese left Auckland during December, 1920, while one left during the same month of 1919. Four Hindus were among the departures of last month.
