HUSBAND'S DESERTION.
A SON'S DISCOVERY. A decree nisi was granted Mrs. Mary ' Eleanor Grange, who petitioned for divorce in the Supreme Court to-day, i before the Chief Justice, from her husband, Thomas Isop Orange, a .blacksmith. According to the petitioner's evidence the parties were married on April .4, 1903, and lived in Now Plymouth, Wanganui, Auckland, and in Wailii. There were four children of the marriattv. Before Christmas, 190(1, the husband left and went to Auckland. He paid a second visit later, and then confessed in the presence of Mr. Jones, the husband, that he had been living with ; Mrs. Jones. Respondent went away in i 1907, and petitioner had seen him only ' for an hour since then. About Christmas. j 1908, she got a letter from him, in which he said he was leaving for Sydney. Since then she had not seen him. Clarence Lyell Grange, eon of the petitioner, said he had gone (o Sydney and found Mrs. Jones at an address he knew of. She said the respondent had gone to Queensland. Witness called several times at the address to 6ee hi*, father, •but failed to find him. ''Mr. West appeared for the petitioner.
