Mr. G. Ton?, of Hastings, and Mr. F. H. Jones, of Napier, go to Sydney to compete in the champion rifle shooting competitions. Mr. Albert Spencer, president of the Auckland Employers' Association, has returned from a visit to the Kermadec Irland*. He was accompanied by Mr. Percy Spencer, of Remuera. Mr. A. C, Bretherton. inspector of the Public Trust Office, Canterbuy, has been appointed to Auckland, Southland, and . Tiinaru district, with headquarters at Dunedin.
