BASIC WAGE RAISED.
MINIMUM OF £4 7/. (Received 11.30 a.m.l SYDNEY, this day. It is unofficially announced that the Board of Trade Is rncreasing the basic wage by 10/ a week, raising the minimum to £4 7/. It is Calculated that the increase in the New South Wales wages bill for the year will be £5,000,000.— (A. and V.Z. Cable.)
