BANK MANAGER'S RETIREMENT
ilr. U T. Symes. for eight and a half years manager of the Auckland branch of the Bank of Australasia, will retire on superannuation on October 11 Mr. Symes has been in the service for 44 years, and for more than 37 years, since January 1883, in fact, he has beep a bank manager. Before, coming up to Auckland he managed the Gisborne branch of the Bank of Australasia for 1!H years, and prior to that, he was for 10 years manager at Gore Mr. Symes, who intends to continue his residence in Auckland, will be succeeded by Mr. F. \V. E. Bush, who arrived in Auckland yesterday by the Kiverina from South Grafton, New South Wales.
