7G MILES PER GALLON. RELIABILITY RUN. Amid unfavourable conditions and threatening rain twelve motor cyclists faced the starter iv Saturday's Reliability run to Pokenu Hill and back to town. The first eolo team and the first sidecar got away promptly at 1.15 p.m., the last machine clearing- the post at 1.30 p.m. The hoavy weather during the past week and the mud on the .new road near Bombay failed to hold back the •winning Hurley-Davidson machines, and those who witnessed the ascent of the greasy Razorbaok Hill were very much impressed, and feltj that every owner ol the eturdy H.D. has reason to be very proud of his mount. Considering the ram, mud, and heavy roads encountered, the performances of the first two machines are a revelation tr> the motor-cycling world, and G. ■!. Coleman and L. Sterricker, with their Harley • Davidsons, have established gallonage records which it will be hard to boat. All the placed riders rode on Goodyear Diamond Tread Tyres and Stock Model Harley-Davidson Motor-cycles. The results are: Ist, G. J. Coleman, Harley-Davidson. solo, 76-9 miles to the gallon; 2nd, L. Sterr".«<er, HarleyDavidson, sidecar, f>4.9 miles to the gallon; 3rd, A. S. Millar, Harley-David-eon, solo, 71.1 miles to the gallon; 4th, Mrs. P. A. Mitchell, Harley-Davidson, sidecar, 59.S miles to the gallon.
