AMERICA'S CEREAL CROPS.
HUGE RETURNS EXPECTED. (Received 8.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, August 29. The American Secretary of Agriculture estimates that the United States wheat crop will exceed the pre-war average by 100,000,000 bushels. The corn crop is expected to be 3,000,000,000 bushels, and the oat crop 1,400,000,000 bushels. The total value of the crops is estimated at £5,000,000,000.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
