ALASKA TO NEW YORK.
RETURN FLIGHT BEGUN. (Received 10.30 a.m.) NOME (Alaska), August 27. Three of the four aeroplanes whiclt flew from New York to Nome, have started on the home flight. The aviators planned a flight to Cape Prince of Wales, thence across the Bering Straits to Siberia, but a telegram from the War j Department disapproving of the project caused its cancellation.— (A. and N.Z.) j
