Turner end Sons, Limited. report good supplies of fruit on the mnrket durinc the week, the Sydney boat arriving, bringing 1200 rases of mandarins, pines, passions, etc. Mandarins realised from 15/ to 23/ per case: pines, 17/ to 19/; and passion fruit. 16/ to lit/6. Repacked Island oranges are bringing 18/ per; case, repacked papered oranges 21/ to 22/. Local apples are still coming from cool] stoves in large quantities, choice Delicious > from 0/ to 11/6 per case, according to quality. Choice cooking apples are 'bringing from 10/ to 11/ St. others from 6/6 to 11/. according to colour and size. Poonuan oranges are not in such keen demand, and j are selling at 11/ to 12/6 per case for best: j lemons, extra choice from 16/' to IS/, othersj from 8/ to 14/: tree tomatoes, from 5/ to 8/6; local sweet oranges, 7/0 to !>/: Island tomatoes, 2'i/ti per case.
