The semi-flnal in the charity tournament at the Sports Club yesterday attracted great gatherings. In the afternoon Wnrren, the amateur champion (on S('rntch) played Dlsgl'e (on the 145 mark). Digsle. playing rapidly, pushed ahead, lurrenslng his leai* hy 100. Warren then made a 'break of 0* off the white hall, followed with a sequence of solid efforts, which enabled him to pass Dtjsgle at 531. Dimple fought well, but the champion was too consistent. winning easily by 107 points. He averaged S.i, with breaks of 24, 23. 21. 23. 34. GO, !M. 25, 27. 33, 22. 53. 28, 20. 23 and 2T. agatnßt Dlggle's 2f>. 30. 21. 20, 20. 30, and 44. In the evening, Jackson (handicap 75) met was utterly out of touch, and .Tackson, giving a brilllnnt all round exhibition, defeated him easily by 243 points. Jackson averaged 9, making breaks of 81, 47, 69, J!6, 40. 34, 42, 21, and 23, against Fredatoritrh's 20, 23 21. 23. 22, and 21. 'The final, between Warren and Jackson, commences this evenlug, and the tournament -will terminate to-morrow night.
