WHO CONTROLS IT? (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELfLIiXG-TOX, Friday. •L-abour representatives continue in their assertions that the Government has acquired an interest in the Samoan "Times." To-day .Mr. 11. E. Holland asked the Minister of Internal Affairs whether lie had read .Mr. H. J. Moore's pamphlet on Samoa* in which it was stated that the local paper was controlled partly hy the administration nnd was thoroughly censored. 'Will the Minister inquire what interest the administraticm has acquired in the Samoan •Times'?" Mr. Holland asked. The Hon. _E. P. Lee: I have already informed the 'hon. member that the Government has no interest whatever in the paper. Mr. Holland: Are you afraid of the question. All information says the administration bus acquired an interest. The Minister may be wrong. Will ihe inquire?
Mr. J-.ee: The hon. member will quote from anything that suits his purpose.
