Evidence during the proceedings for the deportation of the Soviet Ambassador (Martens) states that th.± Customs seized 131 diamonds addressed "Comrade Martens," carried l>y,a Swedish sailer. Large quantities of jewels, supposed to be portions of the Russian Crown jewels, were transported to .America during the last half-year.
