The Roman Catholic Archbishops of Wellington, Perth, Adelaide, and Hobart, and the Bishops of Armidale, Rockhampton, Cooktown, Ballarat, Sandhurst, and j Wilcannia Forbes have issued a joint statement describing Dr. Mannix s treatment as an insult and also an indignity to the signatories, his brothers, and the whole Roman Catholic body in Britain and Australia.
