GELIGNITE EXPLOSION.
. 1 THREE LIVES LOST. TWO WOMEN AND CHILD KILLED. KING COUNTRY FATALITY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAUMARUNUI, thie day. An explosion of gelignite involving the loss of three lives occurred at Tatu, eight miles from Ohura, to-day, the victims being Miss Janet Lilburn, second daughter of Mr. W. Lillburn, of Northcot9, her sister, Mrs. F. England, eldest daughter of Mr. Lilburn, and Mrs. England's infant son. It is stated that the gelignite was stored in Mr. England's dwelling for use in blowing out stumps on the farm. An inquest into the fatality will be held shortly. Mias Lilburn and the child were killed instantly, while Mrs. England lingered for several hours.
