One sanitary eys? i tern, connected with a septic tank, was j provided for. The trouble which thi council are now faced with haa resulted from the fact that the house, as mentioned, is now being made suitable to accommodate five families. After lengthy consideration the in»t« ter was left in the hands of the Mayor, Mr. C. Hudson, with power to refer it to the Public Health Department, 51 necessary. Further, the question of tin borough by-laws was referred to thl Finance Committee, and the motioi recommended that the 'building byJ&wi should be considered, with particulU! reference to apartment houses. ' .
